Questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so your file never reaches our servers. That matters for contracts, CVs and statements.
What comes across into Word?
Paragraphs that re-flow when you edit, fonts, sizes, bold, italic and colours, headings (they show in Word's navigation pane), bulleted and numbered lists, tables with merged cells and shading, two-column pages, headers and footers with page numbers, links and images.
Will it look exactly like the PDF?
Letters, reports, CVs, invoices and papers come out very close. Forms and designed pages may need touching up; for those, try Keep the look. The result tells you which pages to check.
What's the difference between Editable and Keep the look?
Editable gives a normal Word document where text flows from line to line. Keep the look puts every block where it was on the page, which suits forms and flyers but is harder to edit. Keep the look is best opened in Microsoft Word.
Can it convert scanned PDFs?
Yes. Pages that are pictures of text are read on your device in 39 languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Arabic and Chinese. Check names and numbers afterwards; reading a scan is never flawless.
Why do the fonts look a little different?
We name the PDF's fonts in the Word file but don't copy them, because fonts inside PDFs are licensed to the document's author. Word uses the same font if your computer has it, or a close one.
Do I get .docx or .doc?
.docx, the format Word has used since 2007. It opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Apple Pages and LibreOffice.
Can I convert a password-protected PDF?
Yes. Type its password; it never leaves your device. The Word file isn't locked.
Can I convert only some pages?
Yes. Use Pages ✎ on the PDF and type pages like 1–3, 7.
Can I convert any PDF?
Convert only documents you own or have permission to use. Books, paid reports and other people's work may be protected by copyright. Microsoft Word is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. FizzyTools isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, on iPhone and Android. Big PDFs take longer on phones; keep the tab open.
Are there limits?
Up to 20 PDFs at a time, 200 MB and 2,000 pages each. It's free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
