Questions
Is my recording uploaded?
No. It stays on your device, and FizzyTools never receives it.
What if my browser crashes?
Your recording is saved every second. Open this page again and we'll offer it back, with at most the last second or two missing.
How long can I record?
Up to 6 hours for one take. An hour uses about 345 MB of space on your device while you work.
Do I need permission to record someone?
Often, yes. The rules differ from place to place, so ask first. That's why we ask you to confirm before you record. This isn't legal advice.
What happens if my phone locks?
Recording pauses and everything so far is saved. Press Resume to carry on. We keep the screen on where your browser allows it.
Where do my recordings go afterwards?
Takes you've saved are removed from this device on your next visit. Takes you haven't saved stay until you save or delete them. Delete all removes every one. Browsers may clear stored data, so save important recordings soon.
Does it work in a private window?
Yes, but recordings are gone when you close the window.
Voice or Music and original sound?
Voice cleans up echo, noise and level. Music and original sound leaves the sound alone.
Why is my WAV so big?
WAV isn't compressed. An MP3 is about 6× smaller.
Can I cut out the middle or import a file?
Not here. This tool trims the start and end.
