Questions

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser, so your file never reaches our servers. That matters for contracts, statements and IDs.

What ways can I split a PDF?

Cut by hand with scissors between pages, by ranges (like 1-3, 4-8, 9-), every N pages, every page, odd and even pages, by bookmarks, by file size, or cut each page in half. You see the parts before you split. One PDF at a time, up to 2,000 pages and 200 MB, and up to 500 parts per run, free with no sign-up and no watermark.

How do I pull out just a few pages?

Choose Extract, then tap the pages you want (or type them, like 2, 5-7). They go into one new PDF in their original order.

Can I split a PDF by its chapters?

Yes. Choose Bookmarks: each top-level bookmark starts a new PDF named after it, and the sections inside stay with their chapter. Pick Level 2 to split by sections instead. Pages before the first bookmark can become an "Intro" PDF.

Can I split a PDF to fit an email or upload size limit?

Yes. Choose By size and pick 1, 2, 5 or 10 MB, or type your own. Each part stays under the limit, except a single page that is bigger on its own, which we tell you about.

My scan has two pages on each sheet. Can I separate them?

Yes. Choose Halves to cut every page down the middle (or across, for pages one above the other). You get one PDF with the pages in reading order.

Do bookmarks, links and form fields still work in the parts?

Yes. Bookmarks that point into a part are kept in that part, and fillable form fields stay fillable.

Can I split a password-protected PDF, or protect the parts?

Yes. We'll ask for the PDF's password; it stays on your device and is forgotten when you leave. To lock the parts, turn on "Protect every part with a password" in More options.

Can I split a PDF on my phone?

Yes. Tap ✂ between pages, then Split, and tap "Save to Files" (on Android, "Save or share") to keep the parts, or save one part at a time.
