How the numbers are made
Every result comes from your browser's secure random source (the Web Crypto API), the one used for encryption keys. We turn its random bits into your range without favouring any number: values that would make the split uneven are thrown away and drawn again. Nothing is sent to us, so nobody else sees or can change your results. With Repeatable with a seed, the numbers come from the seed instead, so the same seed always gives the same numbers on any device.
Questions
Are the numbers really random?
They come from your browser's secure random source, the same one used to make encryption keys. Every number in your range is equally likely, and earlier results don't affect the next one.
How do I get numbers with no repeats?
Turn on No repeats. You can pick up to as many numbers as the range holds, for example all 100 numbers from 1 to 100 in a random order.
Can I make several sets of numbers?
Yes. Under More options, choose Sets, for example 10 sets of 6 numbers from 1 to 49. Repeats are never inside a set, but can happen between sets.
Can I leave some numbers out, or pick only odd or even numbers?
Yes. Type numbers or ranges in Leave out (like 7, 13, 20-29), and choose Only odd or Only even. Step picks only every Nth number.
What is Repeatable with a seed?
The seed sets the numbers, so the same seed and settings give the same numbers on any device, which helps with class exercises and research. Anyone with the seed can make the same numbers, so don't use it for prize draws or secrets.
How big can the numbers be?
Up to 1,000 digits, positive or negative, with up to 20 decimal places. You can make up to 10,000 at a time.
Can I use this to pick a prize winner?
Picks are made on your device with your browser's secure random source. FizzyTools doesn't run, record or certify draws. For prize draws, follow the rules where you live.
Is anything sent or saved?
No. Results are made in your browser and never leave your device. Only your settings are remembered on this device, and the Recent list clears when you close the tab.
